TO RECOGNIZE AND COMMEND MS. MAMIE E. LYNAH FOR HER OUTSTANDING SERVICE TO THE LOWCOUNTRY COMMUNITY ACTION AGENCY HEAD START PROGRAM.
Whereas, Ms. Lynah has been with the Lowcountry Community Action Agency Head Start Program since its inception in the 1960's and was honored for her work on Saturday, April 19, 1997; and
Whereas, Ms. Lynah graduated from the Colleton Training School in Walterboro and received an associate degree in mathematics from Mather Junior College in Beaufort and continued her education through various programs at South Carolina State University, the College of Charleston, and Charleston Southern University; and
Whereas, Ms. Lynah became Disability/Mental Health Coordinator with the Lowcountry Community Action Agency Head Start Program and has held numerous other positions with the program including teacher, nutrition coordinator, social service coordinator, and health coordinator; and
Whereas, Ms. Lynah is a dedicated, dynamic, and talented individual and countless persons have been touched and shaped by her devotion and service; and
Whereas, the citizens of the Lowcountry and the State of South Carolina are grateful for her excellent work and are delighted to have this opportunity to afford Ms. Lynah special recognition. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the Senate:
That the Senate of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, hereby recognizes and commends Ms. Mamie E. Lynah for her outstanding and dedicated service to the Lowcountry Community Action Agency Head Start Program.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Ms. Lynah.
