A SENATE RESOLUTION

TO RECOGNIZE AND COMMEND MRS. EARNESTINE REED OF BERKELEY COUNTY FOR HER DISTINGUISHED THIRTY- TWO YEAR CAREER AS AN EDUCATOR UPON THE OCCASION OF HER RETIREMENT AND WISH HER WELL IN HER FUTURE ENDEAVORS.

Whereas, the members of the Senate have learned that Mrs. Earnestine Reed of Berkeley County plans to retire from St. Stephen Elementary School after a distinguished thirty-two year career as an educator; and

Whereas, Mrs. Reed will have a celebration held in her honor in St. Stephen, South Carolina, on June 4, 1997, to recognize her for over three decades of outstanding public service and civic duty to Berkeley County; and

Whereas, Mrs. Reed has always been committed to the improvement of education for the young people of Berkeley County and of our State. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate:

That the members of the Senate of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, hereby publicly recognize Mrs. Earnestine Reed of Berkeley County and thank her for the contributions she has made during her thirty-two years as an educator in Berkeley County upon the occasion of her retirement and wish her well in her future endeavors.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mrs. Earnestine Reed.
