A SENATE RESOLUTION

TO RECOGNIZE AND COMMEND MS. LAURA SMALL OF BERKELEY COUNTY AND THANK HER FOR HER COMMITMENT TO THE EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM OF BERKELEY COUNTY UPON THE OCCASION OF HER RETIREMENT AND TO WISH HER WELL IN HER FUTURE ENDEAVORS.

Whereas, the members of the Senate have learned that Ms. Laura Small of Berkeley County is retiring from St. Stephen Elementary School as a teacher's aide; and

Whereas, Ms. Small serves as an example for the young people of our State to follow, as evidenced by her commitment and belief in the education system; and

Whereas, a celebration will be held in honor of Ms. Small in St. Stephen, South Carolina, on June 4, 1997, to recognize her for her outstanding contributions to the educational system of St. Stephen, Berkeley County, and our State. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate:

That the members of the Senate of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, hereby publicly recognize Ms. Laura Small of Berkeley County upon the occasion of her retirement and wish her well in her future endeavors.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Ms. Laura Small.
