The House assembled at 10:00 A.M.

Deliberations were opened with prayer by the Chaplain of the House of Representatives, the Rev. Dr. Alton C. Clark as follows:

God of all mystery and revelation, we know that there is nothing that escapes Your all-seeing eye, from the smallest earthly particle to the unfathomable expanses of outer space. So when we feel overwhelmed, when answers seem so far away, solutions to our problems seem beyond our reach, give us faith to sustain us, causing us to know that You can and will help us in Your good time.

Cause us to see in You the ultimate answer to all of life's questions. Amen.

After corrections to the Journal of the proceedings of yesterday, the SPEAKER ordered it confirmed.
