TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 56-15-355 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT CERTAIN MOTOR VEHICLE DEALERS MAY DISPLAY VEHICLES AWAY FROM THEIR PLACES OF BUSINESS FOR ADVERTISEMENT PURPOSES ONLY.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. The 1976 Code is amended by adding:
Section 56-15-355. (A) Notwithstanding another provision of law, a licensed dealer may exhibit vehicles at a location away from his place of business for advertisement purposes only. Sales of exhibited vehicles must not be consummated at that location, but only at the dealer's place of business.
(B) The provisions contained in this section do not apply to a dealer exhibiting and selling motor homes as defined in Section 56-15-10.
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
