A HOUSE RESOLUTION

CONGRATULATING REVEREND AND MRS. THOMAS MASON, SR. OF AIKEN COUNTY ON THE HAPPY OCCASION OF THEIR FIFTIETH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY, FEBRUARY 26, 1999, AND EXTENDING TO THEM BEST WISHES FOR MANY MORE YEARS TOGETHER.

Whereas, Thelma Mason and Reverend Thomas Mason of Aiken County entered into the blessed state of holy matrimony fifty years ago on February 26, 1949; and

Whereas, as they prepare to celebrate their fiftieth wedding anniversary, these two wonderful people are still deeply in love with each other and feel truly blessed by God for the five decades He has given them as husband and wife; and

Whereas, they have also been blessed with a loving family and are the proud parents of two daughters, one son, and seven grandchildren; and

Whereas, over many years these two outstanding people have rendered countless hours of dedicated and productive service to their church and community; and

Whereas, Brother Mason, a pastor in the Pentecostal Holiness Church, and his devoted wife, Thelma, have spent their lives pastoring in five different states beginning new churches, nurturing their congregations, and living the Gospel of the Lord; and

Whereas, they are the model of a happy married life; their devoted family and innumerable friends respect, admire, and love them deeply for their outstanding qualities and exemplary deeds. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the House of Representatives, by this resolution, congratulate Reverend and Mrs. Thomas Mason on the happy occasion of their fiftieth wedding anniversary on February 26, 1999, and extend to them best wishes for many more years together.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Reverend and Mrs. Thomas Mason of Warrenville, South Carolina as they celebrate their fiftieth wedding anniversary.
