AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 51-13-230, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE POWERS OF THE SANTEE COOPER COUNTIES PROMOTION COMMISSION, SO AS TO AUTHORIZE THE COMMISSION TO BORROW MONEY.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
Commission may borrow money
SECTION 1. Section 51-13-230 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:
"(8) To borrow money, provided it does not have the power to assume any obligation or incur any indebtedness binding upon the State or the counties of Berkeley, Calhoun, Clarendon, Orangeburg, and Sumter."
Time effective
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
Ratified the 28th day of April, 1999.
