TO EXPRESS THE CONGRATULATIONS OF THE MEMBERS OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA TO THE COACHES AND MEMBERS OF THE CLINTON JUNIOR COLLEGE GOLDEN BEARS MEN'S BASKETBALL TEAM FOR WINNING THE REGION TEN BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT.
Whereas, the Clinton Junior College Golden Bears Men's Basketball Team defeated Aiken Technical College 69-67 to win the Region Ten Basketball Tournament; and
Whereas, at the conclusion of the tournament, Glen Corbit, the Golden Bears' Head Coach, was named All-Region Ten Coach of the Year; and
Whereas, the Golden Bears' five starters, Seddric Harris, Kerry Adams, Valez Kendrick, Ben Baker, and Brian Branham, were named to the ten-man All-Region Ten team; and
Whereas, the members of the General Assembly would like to publicly recognize and congratulate each player, coach, and member of the staff for winning the Region Ten Basketball Tournament. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, express their congratulations to the Clinton Junior College Golden Bears Men's Basketball Team, its coaches, and staff for winning the Region Ten Basketball Tournament.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Head Coach, Glen Corbit.
