TO EXPRESS THE SINCERE GRATITUDE AND APPRECIATION OF THE MEMBERS OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES TO RALPH BARBER OF AIKEN COUNTY FOR HIS SELFLESS DEDICATION IN ESTABLISHING HORSE CREEK/MIDLAND VALLEY VETERANS' PARK.
Whereas, Ralph Barber and his wife, Maedell, reside in Bath, South Carolina; and
Whereas, Mr. Barber served his country honorably in the United States Army for twenty years, 1948-1968; and
Whereas, Ralph Barber is an active member of the Church of Nazarene, serving as an usher and past trustee on the church board; and
Whereas, he serves as the Chairman of the Planning Committee for the Horse Creek/Midland Valley Veterans' Park. During the construction of the park he has become an expert on ditch digging, landscaping, and backhoes; and
Whereas, the members of the House of Representatives are pleased to have this opportunity to recognize the contributions of such an excellent public servant and wish him the very best in all his future endeavors. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, express their sincere gratitude and appreciation to Ralph Barber of Aiken County for his selfless dedication in establishing Horse Creek/Midland Valley Veterans' Park.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Ralph Barber.
