A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO EXPRESS THE DEEPEST SYMPATHY OF THE MEMBERS OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA GENERAL ASSEMBLY TO THE FAMILY AND FRIENDS OF MR. HENRY LORENTS MATHISON OF SPARTANBURG, WHO DIED MAY 27, 1999.

Whereas, the members of the General Assembly were deeply saddened to learn of the death of Mr. Henry Lorents Mathison of Spartanburg, who died on May 27, 1999; and

Whereas, Mr. Mathison was a native of Alliance, Ohio, the son of the late Lawrence and Alice Sanford Mathison, an Army veteran and the owner of The Peddler Steak House in Spartanburg; and

Whereas, Mr. Mathison was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus; and

Whereas, surviving are his wife, Mrs. Barbara Marshall Mathison; two daughters, Heidi M. Ledford of Inman and Heather M. Allen of Travelers Rest; three brothers, Dr. Fred Allen Taylor of Bloomington, Illinois, Emil Mathison of Maryville, Ohio, and Victor Mathison of Alliance, Ohio; three sisters, Karen Orr and Sharlene Shenck, both of Alliance, Ohio, and Jo Ann Hanes of Youngston, Ohio. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly, by this resolution, express their deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Mr. Henry Lorents Mathison of Spartanburg, who died May 27, 1999.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mrs. Barbara Marshall Mathison of Spartanburg.
