A BILL

TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 59-101-415 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT THE MEN'S VARSITY BASKETBALL TEAMS FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH CAROLINA (COLUMBIA) AND CLEMSON UNIVERSITY SHALL PLAY EACH OTHER TWICE A YEAR ON A HOME AND HOME BASIS BEGINNING WITH THE 2000-2001 SEASON.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. The 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"Section 59-101-415. The men's varsity basketball teams from the University of South Carolina (Columbia) and Clemson University shall play each other twice a year on a home and home basis beginning with the 2000-2001 season."

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
