TO REPEAL CHAPTER 33, TITLE 6, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO TAX INCREMENT FINANCING FOR COUNTIES.
Whereas, in the 1999 Session of the General Assembly, Acts 93 and 109 of 1999 each added the "Tax Increment Financing Act for Counties" in different titles of the 1976 Code; and
Whereas, to eliminate any confusion that may be caused by the separately located identical enactments it is appropriate to repeal Chapter 33, Title 6 of the 1976 Code and provide that any use made of the repealed chapter is deemed to have been pursuant to Chapter 7, Title 31 of the 1976 Code that remains. Now, therefore,
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Chapter 33, Title 6 of the 1976 Code is repealed.
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor and any use made of the provisions of the chapter repealed by this act is deemed, ab initio, to have been made pursuant to Chapter 7, Title 31 of the 1976 Code.
