A BILL

TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 57-3-785 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION MAY PLACE THE LOGO OF AN ADOPT-A-HIGHWAY PROGRAM PARTICIPANT ON THE SIGNS WHICH IDENTIFY THE SEGMENT OF HIGHWAY ADOPTED BY A PROGRAM PARTICIPANT.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. The 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"Section 57-3-785. Notwithstanding another provision of law, the Department of Transportation may place the logo of an Adopt-A-Highway program participant on the signs which identify the segment of highway adopted by a program participant."

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
