COMMENDING DR. JAMES O. HAM OF CLARENDON COUNTY, MAYOR PRO TEM EMERITUS OF THE CITY OF MANNING, FOR HIS MANY YEARS OF DEDICATED, OUTSTANDING SERVICE TO THE CITIZENS OF MANNING.
Whereas, Dr. James O. Ham of Clarendon County, Mayor Pro Tem Emeritus of the City of Manning, graduated from the University of South Carolina with a B.S. degree in pharmacy, has served in the South Carolina National Guard, and is a devoted family man and member of First Baptist Church of Manning; and
Whereas, he has been active in many ways for many years in the community including the Chamber of Commerce, and received the Jaycees' Key Man Award and the Rotary Club's Paul Harris Fellow Award; he also has been a Business Partner in Education for Manning Middle School; and
Whereas, he has served as a pharmacist for thirty-eight years at Brunson's Pharmacy in Manning, thereby advising and assisting the people of Manning and surrounding area with their many needs; and
Whereas, he also has received the Bowl of Hygeia Award for community achievements; and
Whereas, he has diligently and tirelessly served the citizens of Manning in city government for thirty years; and
Whereas, he is an outstanding individual who is respected, admired, and loved by all who know him. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the House of Representatives of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, commend Dr. James O. Ham of Clarendon County, Mayor Pro Tem Emeritus of the City of Manning, for his many years of dedicated, outstanding service to the citizens of Manning.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Dr. Ham.
