A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO CONGRATULATE THE PICKENS COUNTY MUSEUM OF ART AND HISTORY UPON ITS RECEIPT OF THE "HISTORIC PRESERVATION HONOR AWARD" PRESENTED BY THE PALMETTO TRUST FOR HISTORIC PRESERVATION.

Whereas, the members of the General Assembly are very pleased to learn that the Pickens County Museum of Art and History has received the "Historic Preservation Honor Award" given by the Palmetto Trust for Historic Preservation; and

Whereas, this award is one of only five given in South Carolina this year by the Palmetto Trust, and it signifies the outstanding accomplishments of the Pickens County Museum of Art and History under the able leadership of Executive Director, C. Allen Coleman; and

Whereas, the Historic Preservation Honor Award given by the Palmetto Trust for Historic Preservation will be presented this month during the Landmark Conference at the Sumter County Opera House in Sumter; and

Whereas, the members of the General Assembly, by this resolution, would like to congratulate the staff, volunteers, patrons, and supporters of the Pickens County Museum of Art and History on its receipt of this truly prestigious deserved award. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly hereby congratulate the Pickens County Museum Of Art And History upon its receipt of the "Historic Preservation Honor Award" presented by the Palmetto Trust For Historic Preservation.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to C. Allen Coleman, Executive Director, Pickens County Museum of Art and History.
