TO COMMEND ZENDA LEAKS, RESEARCH ASSISTANT, FOR FIVE YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE TO THE MEDICAL, MILITARY, PUBLIC AND MUNICIPAL AFFAIRS COMMITTEE AND TO EXTEND BEST WISHES TO HER FOR SUCCESS IN HER NEW POSITION WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY.
Whereas, Zenda Leaks joined the staff of the Medical, Military, Public and Municipal Affairs Committee on January 3, 1995; and
Whereas, Zenda has served the committee with distinction as the staff in charge of two of 3M's subcommittees, the Local Government and Corrections Affairs, and the Military and Public Affairs subcommittees; and
Whereas, the committee membership extends their sincere thanks to Zenda for a job well done; and
Whereas, Zenda has the academic and professional credentials to be successful in any career in public service. She is a distinguished graduate of the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts in Government and International Studies and a Master of Arts in Public Administration; and
Whereas, while at USC, Zenda achieved the Dean's List and the President's List for her excellent grades. She was a James F. Byrnes Scholar and served as a student government senator; and
Whereas, Zenda has had extended professional experience interning with the State Development Board and working in several capacities for Richland County and the City of Columbia before joining the House of Representatives staff; and
Whereas, the members of the House of Representatives will miss Zenda's professionalism, her helpful attitude, and healthy sense of humor; and
Whereas, the members also take this opportunity to express their deepest gratitude and appreciation to Zenda for her excellent work and wish her continued success in her new career with the Department of Public Safety. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the House of Representatives commend Zenda Leaks, Research Assistant, for her five years of dedicated service to the Medical, Military, Public and Municipal Affairs Committee and extend to her best wishes for success in her new position with the Department of Public Safety.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Zenda Leaks.
