A HOUSE RESOLUTION

TO RECOGNIZE AND CONGRATULATE WHALE BRANCH MIDDLE SCHOOL LOCATED IN BEAUFORT COUNTY ON THE SPECIAL OCCASION OF CELEBRATING ITS FIRST ANNUAL "COMMUNITY DAY" AND TO WISH ITS ADMINISTRATION, FACULTY, STAFF, STUDENTS AND THEIR PARENTS, AND MANY SUPPORTERS MUCH SUCCESS IN THE FUTURE.

Whereas, on January 3, 2000, Whale Branch Middle School, located in Beaufort County, opened its doors to four hundred forty students and established itself as the first middle school in northern Beaufort County; and

Whereas, as a school whose construction was completed in the twenty-first century, the administration, faculty, staff, and many supporters of Whale Branch Middle School believe in putting children first, and encouraging them to avail themselves of every opportunity to achieve and excel in many different ways, while providing a state-of-the-art facility that places a variety of technology in the hands of its students; and

Whereas, the administration, faculty, and staff of Whale Branch Middle School have promised to uphold their mission to provide a quality education for their students; and

Whereas, on April 15, 2000, Whale Branch Middle School celebrated its first annual "Community Day" to recognize the many individuals and organizations whose vision helped to make the construction and operation of this school a reality. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives recognize and congratulate Whale Branch Middle School located in Beaufort County on the special occasion of celebrating its first annual "Community Day" and wish its administration, faculty, staff, students and their parents, and many supporters much success in the future.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Whale Branch Middle School.
