CONGRATULATING AND COMMENDING NORTH CHARLESTON UNITED METHODIST 5-K SCHOOL ON ITS THIRD PLACE FINISH IN ITS ENTERING IN THE CITY OF NORTH CHARLESTON'S CLEAN CITIES SWEEP AS PART OF THE YEAR 2000 GREAT AMERICAN CLEANUP CONTEST.
Whereas, the City of North Charleston, as part of the 2000 Great American Cleanup Contest, has conducted the City of North Charleston's Clean City Sweep; and
Whereas, in this contest, business, civic, religious, and school groups encouraged their members or students to volunteer for neighborhood cleanup in North Charleston in the beautification of the area where their residents live; and
Whereas, the commitment and dedication of the students of North Charleston United Methodist 5-K School to this time consuming community project has been recognized by their third place finish in the North Charleston venue of this nationwide Great American Cleanup Contest. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the House of Representatives, by this resolution, commend and congratulate the students of North Charleston United Methodist 5-K School for their third place finish category in the City of North Charleston's Clean Cities Sweep Contest.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to the students of North Charleston United Methodist 5-K School.
