A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO EXTEND THE SINCERE CONGRATULATIONS OF THE MEMBERS OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA TO MRS. BETTY N. MOORE, ABR, CRS, GRI OF ANDERSON COUNTY UPON THE OCCASION OF BEING SELECTED AS THE "1999 REALTOR OF THE YEAR" BY THE SOUTH CAROLINA ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS.

Whereas, the members of the General Assembly have learned that one of the Palmetto State's most accomplished and widely respected REALTORS, Mrs. Betty N. Moore, was chosen the "1999 REALTOR of the Year"; and

Whereas, Betty Moore, an active real estate broker, is associated with Coldwell Banker Durham-Meehan, Inc. She has served on the Anderson Association of REALTORS Board of Directors and as a Director on the South Carolina REALTORS Association Board; and

Whereas, Betty Moore's professional demeanor ably demonstrates her abilities and dedication in all areas of real estate. She consistently strives to provide her clients with the most up-to-date information available; and

Whereas, Betty Moore has the love and support of her husband, Ralph, and their three children, John, Terrell, and Tim. Betty and Ralph are the doting grandparents of six grandchildren; and

Whereas, Betty Moore has worked tirelessly for her community by serving on various boards including: Anderson Place Advisory Board; Palmetto Bank Advisory Board; Anderson Sunshine House Board; YMCA Board of Directors; Anderson Area Chamber of Commerce Board; President, Anderson College Alumni Board; and Chairperson, Living Endowment Anderson College Advisory Committee; and

Whereas, Betty Moore has received numerous awards and honors which include: Recipient of the Anderson College Service and Achievement Award, 1992, and Anderson County Career Woman of the Year, 1996; and

Whereas, Betty Moore has long been recognized by her fellow REALTORS as a dynamic and dedicated professional, who encourages her colleagues to attend every educational real estate seminar that is offered in order to identify the pertinent issues and challenges involved in today's real estate market; and

Whereas, it is appropriate for the members of the General Assembly to pause in their deliberations to commend this truly distinguished South Carolinian who has given most generously of her time and talents to the growth and economic development of Anderson County and the Palmetto State. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, extend their sincere congratulations to Mrs. Betty N. Moore, ABR, CRS, GRI of Anderson County upon the occasion of being selected as the "1999 REALTOR of the Year" by the South Carolina Association of REALTORS.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Mrs. Betty N. Moore.
