A HOUSE RESOLUTION

TO EXTEND A WARM AND HEARTY WELCOME AND EVERY GOOD WISH TO THE FAMILIES AND DESCENDANTS OF FLOYD AND MARY KING-HERBERT AND ROSA CLAIBORNE OF MAGNOLIA, ARKANSAS, ON THE OCCASION OF THE KING-CLAIBORNE FAMILY REUNION TO BE HELD FROM AUGUST 11TH THROUGH AUGUST 13TH, 2000, IN SUMTER AND REMBERT.

Whereas, the families and descendants of Floyd and Mary King-Herbert and Rosa Claiborne of Magnolia, Arkansas, will hold a King-Claiborne family reunion from August 11th through August 13th, 2000, in Sumter and Rembert; and

Whereas, events in connection with the King-Claiborne family reunion will be hosted at the Comfort Inn and Big Jim's Restaurant in Sumter; and

Whereas, those attending the King-Claiborne family reunion will also have an occasion to visit and worship together at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Rembert; and

Whereas, family reunions such as the King-Claiborne family reunion are a good thing for all concerned, and they are to be encouraged to strengthen family ties, to set aside a special time to remember and reflect on loved ones who have gone on before, and to renew family commitments with the love and loyalty that is inherent in families that share common traditions and family values; and

Whereas, family members from within and without the State are expected to attend the King-Claiborne family reunion, and it is the desire of the members of the House of Representatives to extend a warm and hearty welcome and every good wish to one and all on this happy occasion. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the House of Representatives, by this resolution, extend a warm and hearty welcome and every good wish to the families and descendants of Floyd and Mary King-Herbert and Rosa Claiborne of Magnolia, Arkansas, on the occasion of the King-Claiborne family reunion to be held from August 11th through August 13th, 2000, in Sumter and Rembert.

Be it further resolved that on behalf of the families and descendants of Floyd and Mary King-Herbert and Rosa Claiborne, a copy of this resolution be presented to Myrteen W. King of Rembert.
