A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

COMMENDING MS. SHELLY HANNON OF GREENVILLE COUNTY ON HER PERFECT CAREER ACADEMIC ATTENDANCE RECORD, AND CONGRATULATING HER UPON HER GRADUATION FROM CLEMSON UNIVERSITY.

Whereas, Ms. Shelly Hannon is a resident of Taylors, Greenville County; and

Whereas, she graduates from Clemson University in May, 1999; and

Whereas, upon graduation, she will have completed eighteen years of schooling (including one year of kindergarten) with no days missed; and

Whereas, also, her years in college reflect not a single missed class; and

Whereas, upon her graduation from Blue Ridge High School in 1994, Ms. Hannon was recognized and saluted for perfect attendance during her school years; each year all South Carolina high school graduates who have not missed a day since starting school are asked to write a composition on their successful achievement; Ms. Hannon was awarded top entry in the State that year; and

Whereas, Shelly Hannon is a shining example of dedication, hard work, commitment to receiving a quality education, and success; she is, indeed, a role model, and we are delighted to have the opportunity to accord her, in this special manner, the recognition she deserves for such an outstanding accomplishment. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:

That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, commends Ms. Shelly Hannon of Greenville County on her perfect career academic attendance record and congratulates her upon her graduation from Clemson University.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Ms. Hannon.
