RECOGNIZING THE LADY CARDINAL SOCCER TEAM OF CARDINAL NEWMAN HIGH SCHOOL OF RICHLAND COUNTY ON WINNING THE 1999 SCISA STATE CHAMPIONSHIP IN GIRLS SOCCER.
Whereas, the Lady Cardinal soccer team of Cardinal Newman High School of Columbia in Richland County has won the South Carolina Independent Schools Association (SCISA) state championship in girls soccer for 1999; and
Whereas, the Lady Cardinals, directed by Head Coach Steve Berzins and Assistant Coach Curtis Freeman, demonstrated outstanding talent, determination, and teamwork during the 1999 season and are truly deserving of the state crown; and
Whereas, we are very pleased to have this special opportunity to recognize the Lady Cardinals and their fine soccer program. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:
That the members of the General Assembly, by this resolution, recognize the Lady Cardinal soccer team of Cardinal Newman High School of Richland County on winning the 1999 SCISA state championship in girls soccer.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the players and coaches of the Lady Cardinal soccer team at Cardinal Newman High School.
