Deliberations were opened with prayer by the Chaplain of the House of Representatives, the Rev. Dr. Alton C. Clark, as follows:

As a new day greets us, good Lord, we ask Your guidance in all that we do. Equip us for what is ahead as we move into the precious moments of time You have given us. Help us to be sensitive to Your presence in our lives that we may think, speak, and do our tasks in keeping with Your will and wishes. Cause our conduct throughout this day to be of such a nature that we can face tomorrow with hope. Grant Your pardon to what we fail to do and peace for what we have done. To a God of love and mercy we pray. Amen.

After corrections to the Journal of the proceedings of yesterday, the SPEAKER ordered it confirmed.

The following Bill was read the third time, passed and having received three readings in both Houses, it was ordered that the title be changed to that of an Act and that it be enrolled for Ratification:

S. 897 (Word version) -- Senator Hutto: A BILL TO AMEND ACT 2 OF 1963 TO ALLOW MEMBERS OF THE BARNWELL SCHOOL DISTRICT 45 BOARD OF TRUSTEES IN BARNWELL COUNTY TO PROVIDE A STIPEND TO BOARD MEMBERS FOR SERVICES RENDERED.

At 10:13 A. M. the House in accordance with H. 4237, the Sine Die Adjournment Resolution, adjourned to meet at 12:00 Noon in Statewide Session on Tuesday, June 22.
