A BILL

TO PROVIDE FOR PAYMENT FOR THE ATTENDANCE OF MEETINGS BY THE ORANGEBURG COUNTY TRANSPORTATION COMMITTEE.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, each member of the Orangeburg County Transportation Committee, in performance of his duties, must be allowed and paid from Orangeburg County "C" fund revenues fifty dollars for each meeting at which he is in attendance.

SECTION 2. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the Orangeburg County Transportation Committee may expend up to twelve thousand dollars per fiscal year for contractual services including but not limited to consultant fees in furtherance of its duties and responsibilities authorized pursuant to Section 12-28-2740. The committee is further empowered, notwithstanding any other provision of law, to expend an amount not to exceed three thousand dollars for reasonable administrative expenses related directly to the activities of the committee.

SECTION 3. The Orangeburg County Transportation Committee shall receive the payment authorized in Section 1 upon issuance of approved vouchers by its chairman.

SECTION 4. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
