To whom was referred a Senate Resolution (S. 1309), to authorize Palmetto Girls State to use the Chamber of the South Carolina Senate on Thursday, June 15, 2000, and Friday, June 16, 2000, etc., respectfully

REPORT:

Has polled the Senate Resolution out majority favorable.

A SENATE RESOLUTION

TO AUTHORIZE PALMETTO GIRLS STATE TO USE THE CHAMBER OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA SENATE ON THURSDAY, JUNE 15, 2000, AND FRIDAY, JUNE 16, 2000.

Be it resolved by the Senate:

That Palmetto Girls State is authorized to use the Chamber of the South Carolina Senate on Thursday, June 15, 2000, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and on Friday, June 16, 2000, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. for its annual legislative activity. If the Senate is in statewide session, the chamber may not be used.

Be it further resolved that the State House security forces shall provide assistance and access as necessary for this meeting in accordance with previous procedures.

Be it further resolved that Palmetto Girls State shall be granted access to and use of the chamber in accordance with the guidelines and requirements as the Clerk of the Senate shall direct.

Be it further resolved that no charges may be made for the use of the Chamber of the Senate by Palmetto Girls State on these dates.
