The Board of Occupational Therapy is considering drafting regulations to supplement its recently enacted practice act. The proposed regulations add definitions of "continuing education" and "contact hour" and address the election of officers of the board and frequency of board meetings. The proposed regulations also establish requirements for licensure of occupational therapists and occupational therapy assistants, endorsement, and reactivation of inactive or lapsed licenses. Further requirements include the addition of sixteen contact hours of continuing education for occupational therapists and occupational therapy assistants.
