A BILL

TO REVISE THE METHOD OF ELECTING THE MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF ORANGEBURG COUNTY CONSOLIDATED SCHOOL DISTRICT FIVE AND TO CHANGE THE MANNER FOR FILLING VACANCIES ON THE BOARDS OF TRUSTEES OF THE ORANGEBURG COUNTY CONSOLIDATED SCHOOL DISTRICTS AND THE ORANGEBURG COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of Act 526 of 1996, beginning with the elections conducted in 1999, the members of the board of trustees of Orangeburg County Consolidated School District Five must be elected as follows:

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
