A JOINT RESOLUTION

TO APPROVE REGULATIONS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF LABOR, LICENSING AND REGULATION, BOARD OF REGISTRATION FOR GEOLOGISTS, RELATING TO FEES, USE OF SEAL, CONTINUING EDUCATION, AND REGISTRATION, DESIGNATED AS REGULATION DOCUMENT NUMBER 2380, PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF ARTICLE 1, CHAPTER 23, TITLE 1 OF THE 1976 CODE.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. The regulations of the Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation, Board of Registration for Geologists, relating to fees, use of seal, continuing education, and registration, designated as Regulation Document Number 2380, and submitted to the General Assembly pursuant to the provisions of Article 1, Chapter 23, Title 1 of the 1976 Code, are approved.

SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.

SUMMARY AS SUBMITTED

BY PROMULGATING AGENCY.

The Board of Registration for Geologists is drafting regulations to supplement its recently enacted practice act. The proposed regulations include, but are not limited to, deleting repetitious language that is in the statute, establishing fees, establishing guidelines for the use of its seal, continuing education, and establishing requirements for registration as a professional geologist and geologist-in-training.
