A BILL

TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE COLLETON COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT TO APPORTION OR REAPPORTION, AS NECESSARY, THE ELECTION DISTRICTS OF THE SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR THE PURPOSE OF ELECTING THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES, BEGINNING WITH THE FEDERAL CENSUS OF 2010.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    Notwithstanding any other provision of law, beginning with the Federal Census of 2010, the Board of Trustees of the Colleton County School District may apportion and reapportion, as necessary, the election districts from which members of the board of trustees of the school district are elected.

SECTION    2.    This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
