TO CONGRATULATE JAN VOGELSANG OF GREENVILLE FOR THE TREMENDOUS LEADERSHIP SHE HAS PROVIDED AS PRESIDENT OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA CHAPTER OF THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF SOCIAL WORKERS.

Whereas, Jan Vogelsang is the current president of the South Carolina Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers; and

Whereas, during her tenure as president she has provided tremendous leadership to the association and has been instrumental in the many recent accomplishments the association has made; and

Whereas, she played a key role in the passage of the new Social Worker Practice Act which will change and improve the manner in which this important profession conducts its affairs; and

Whereas, the South Carolina chapter of the association has experienced strong growth during her time as president, and she has positioned the chapter to achieve more growth and success in the years to come; and

Whereas, she is a practicing social worker herself who has earned the respect of colleagues, clients, and all those with whom she has come into professional contact; and

Whereas, the members of the House of Representatives, by this resolution, would like to publicly recognize and commend her for the wonderful guidance she has provided as President of the South Carolina Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives congratulate Jan Vogelsang of Greenville for the tremendous leadership she has provided as President of the South Carolina Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mrs. Vogelsang.
