AN ACT TO AMEND ACT 510 OF 1982, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO THE ANDERSON COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION, SO AS TO REAPPORTION THE DISTRICTS FROM WHICH BOARD MEMBERS ARE ELECTED AND DELETE PREVIOUS APPORTIONMENT AND REAPPORTIONMENT PLANS.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
Districts reapportioned
SECTION 1. Section 1(A) of Act 510 of 1982, as last amended by Act 710 of 1990, is further amended to read:
"(A) Beginning with the election conducted in 2002, the nine defined single-member election districts from which each member of the Anderson County Board of Education must be elected by the qualified electors of that district are as shown on the official map designated as S-07-00-02 prepared by and on file with the Office of Research and Statistical Services of the State Budget and Control Board."
Time effective
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
Ratified the 4th day of June, 2002.
Approved the 12th day of June, 2002.
