INVITATIONS AND MEMORIAL RESOLUTIONS

    To whom was referred a Concurrent Resolution (S. 1255) to request the Department of Transportation name the portion of South Carolina Highway 121 which begins at the Edgefield-Saluda County line and ends at the Newberry-Saluda County line, etc., respectfully

REPORT:

    That they have duly and carefully considered the same and recommend that the same do pass:

A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO REQUEST THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION NAME THE PORTION OF SOUTH CAROLINA HIGHWAY 121 WHICH BEGINS AT THE EDGEFIELD-SALUDA COUNTY LINE AND ENDS AT THE NEWBERRY-SALUDA COUNTY LINE THE "VETERAN'S MEMORIAL HIGHWAY", AND TO INSTALL APPROPRIATE MARKERS OR SIGNS ALONG THIS PORTION OF HIGHWAY CONTAINING THE WORDS "VETERANS MEMORIAL HIGHWAY".

Be it resolved by the House of Representative, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina request the Department of Transportation to name the portion of South Carolina Highway 121 which begins at the Edgefield-Saluda County line and ends at the Newberry-Saluda County line the "Veterans Memorial Highway", and to install appropriate markers or signs along this portion of highway containing the words "Veterans Memorial Highway".

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Department of Transportation.
