A JOINT RESOLUTION

TO PROVIDE, FOR 2001 ONLY, NOTWITHSTANDING THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 2-7-105, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, THAT STATE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT BONDS MAY BE AUTHORIZED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY ONLY FOR THE PURCHASE OF SCHOOL BUSES.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    For 2001 only, notwithstanding the provisions of Section 2-7-105 of the 1976 Code, State Capital Improvement Bonds may be authorized not to exceed forty-two million four hundred twenty-seven thousand five hundred dollars by the General Assembly only for the purchase of school buses.

SECTION    2.    This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
