A JOINT RESOLUTION

TO APPROVE REGULATIONS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF LABOR, LICENSING AND REGULATION, REAL ESTATE APPRAISERS BOARD, RELATING TO PRACTICES OF REAL ESTATE APPRAISERS, MASS APPRAISERS, DESIGNATED AS REGULATION DOCUMENT NUMBER 2579, PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF ARTICLE 1, CHAPTER 23, TITLE 1 OF THE 1976 CODE.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    The regulations of the Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation, Real Estate Appraisers Board, relating to practices of real estate appraisers, mass appraisers, designated as Regulation Document Number 2579, and submitted to the General Assembly pursuant to the provisions of Article 1, Chapter 23, Title 1 of the 1976 Code, are approved.

SECTION    2.    This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.

SUMMARY AS SUBMITTED

BY PROMULGATING AGENCY.

The Real Estate Appraisers Board is proposing to amend its existing regulations to be consistent with the recently enacted practice act. The proposed regulations include, but are not limited to, new provisions for mass appraiser qualifications and licensure as well as revision of current regulations codified at South Carolina Regulations Chapter 137. The revision of current regulations also includes deleting repetitious language that is in the statute.
