A JOINT RESOLUTION

TO PROVIDE THAT UP TO THREE DAYS MISSED IN THE 2001-2002 SCHOOL YEAR BY THE STUDENTS OF A SCHOOL IN GREENWOOD COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT 51 WHEN THE SCHOOL WAS CLOSED DUE TO SNOW, ICE, OR INCLEMENT WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE EXEMPTED FROM THE MAKE-UP REQUIREMENT OF THE DEFINED MINIMUM PLAN THAT FULL SCHOOL DAYS MISSED DUE TO EXTREME WEATHER OR OTHER CIRCUMSTANCES BE MADE UP.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    Up to three school days missed in school year 2001-2002 by the students of a school in Greenwood County School District 51 when the school was closed due to snow, ice, or inclement weather conditions are exempted from the make-up requirement of the defined minimum plan that full school days missed due to extreme weather or other circumstances be made up.

SECTION    2.    This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
