A BILL

TO PROVIDE THAT PUBLIC FUNDS MAY BE USED TO OFFER COSMETOLOGY LICENSING PREPARATORY COURSES AT TWO PRIVATELY FUNDED AND ONE PUBLICLY FUNDED POST-SECONDARY SCHOOLS IN GREENVILLE COUNTY.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    Public funds may be used to offer new post-secondary school courses for preparing students to stand a state professional licensing examination for cosmetology pursuant to licensing requirements administered by the Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation in Greenville County, in which two privately funded post-secondary schools and a third, publicly funded post-secondary school, the Northwest Campus of Greenville Technical College, offer that training through existing courses.

SECTION    2.    This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
