A JOINT RESOLUTION

TO APPROVE REGULATIONS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF LABOR, LICENSING AND REGULATION, AUCTIONEERS' COMMISSION, RELATING TO EXAMINATION, LICENSES, APPRENTICESHIPS, ADVERTISING, PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS, DECLARATORY RULINGS, CHANGES OF ADDRESS, AND PROCEDURES, DESIGNATED AS REGULATION DOCUMENT NUMBER 2574, PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF ARTICLE 1, CHAPTER 23, TITLE 1 OF THE 1976 CODE.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    The regulations of the Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation, Auctioneers' Commission, relating to examination, licenses, apprenticeships, advertising, professional standards, declaratory rulings, changes of address, and procedures, designated as Regulation Document Number 2574, and submitted to the General Assembly pursuant to the provisions of Article 1, Chapter 23, Title 1 of the 1976 Code, are approved.

SECTION    2.    This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.

SUMMARY AS SUBMITTED

BY PROMULGATING AGENCY.

The South Carolina Auctioneers' Commission is drafting regulations to be consistent with the recently enacted practice act. The proposed regulations will include, but are not limited to, provisions for examination, renewal of licenses, apprenticeships, advertising, and professional standards as well as provisions for declaratory rulings, changes of address, and other procedures before the Commission. The proposed regulations will not include language from the current regulations, which repeat the language of the enabling statute.
