A BILL

TO AMEND SECTION 7-7-100, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO VOTING PRECINCTS IN BARNWELL COUNTY, SO AS TO DESIGNATE A MAP NUMBER FOR THE MAP ON WHICH LINES OF PRECINCTS ARE DELINEATED AND MAINTAINED BY THE OFFICE OF RESEARCH AND STATISTICAL SERVICES OF THE STATE BUDGET AND CONTROL BOARD.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    Section 7-7-100(B) of the 1976 Code, as last amended by Act 378 of 1998, is further amended to read:

    "(B)    The precinct lines defining the above precincts provided in subsection (A) are as shown on maps filed with the Clerk of Court of the county and also on file with the State Election Commission as provided and maintained by the Division of Research and Statistical Services of the State Budget and Control Board the official map prepared by and on file with the Office of Research and Statistical Services of the State Budget and Control Board designated as P-11-01 and as shown on copies of the official map provided to the State Election Commission, the Barnwell County Board of Voter Registration, and the Barnwell County Election Commission."

SECTION    2.    This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
