A SENATE RESOLUTION

TO HONOR AND COMMEND CAMERON ZANE BROWN, OF COLLETON COUNTY, FOR HIS FOUR YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE AS A PAGE TO SENATOR LARRY GROOMS AND TO EXTEND BEST WISHES TO HIM IN ALL OF HIS FUTURE ENDEAVORS.

Whereas, serving the State of South Carolina by working with a member of the General Assembly is an excellent opportunity for young people to learn the inner workings of government and politics and make a significant contribution to their State in the process and to help better the communications between the legislators and other constituents; and

Whereas, Cameron Zane Brown of Colleton County served with distinction as a Senate page for Senator Larry Grooms over the past four years, and his presence at the State House will be missed by both the members and staff of the Senate; and

Whereas, Mr. Brown began working for Senator Grooms in 2001, and his cheerful personality has made him one of the favorites among those who worked with him; and

Whereas, he always ably performed the tasks of his job and was particularly gifted in dealing with constituent matters on behalf of the members of the Senate; and

Whereas, the son of Zane and Vicki Brown of Walterboro, this young man stands out because of his significant abilities, his consistently top-notch job performance, and his outstanding character and integrity; and

Whereas, a May 2004 graduate of the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice, Mr. Brown's future plans are to continue service to the State and his local community by going to work with the Charleston County Sheriff's Department upon his departure from the State House; and

Whereas, throughout the past four years, Cameron Zane Brown has been an exemplary page for Senator Grooms, and the Palmetto State is more than proud to call him one of its own. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate:

That the members of the Senate of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, honor and commend Cameron Zane Brown, of Colleton County, for his four years of dedicated service as a page to Senator Larry Grooms and extend best wishes to him in all of his future endeavors.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Cameron Zane Brown of Walterboro.
