A BILL

TO AMEND SECTION 1-11-10 CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE COMPOSITION OF THE STATE BUDGET AND CONTROL BOARD, SO AS TO ADD THE SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES AND THE PRESIDENT PRO TEMPORE OF THE SENATE TO THE BOARD AND TO REMOVE THE COMPTROLLER GENERAL AND THE STATE TREASURER.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    Section 1-11-10 of the 1976 Code is amended to read:

"Section 1-11-10.    The State Budget and Control Board shall be is comprised of the Governor, ex officio, who shall be serve as chairman, the State Treasurer, ex officio, the Comptroller General, ex officio, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, the President Pro Tempore of the Senate, the chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, ex officio, and the chairman of the Ways and Means Committee of the House of Representatives, all of whom shall serve ex officio."

SECTION    2.    This act takes effect July 1, 2003.
