VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
TO AMEND SECTION 11-5-120, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE QUARTERLY CASH REPORTS REQUIRED TO BE PUBLISHED BY THE STATE TREASURER IN A DAILY COLUMBIA NEWSPAPER, SO AS TO ALLOW THE REPORT TO BE PUBLISHED ELECTRONICALLY, TO CHANGE THE REFERENCE TO BANKS TO FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS, AND ELIMINATE THE REQUIREMENT FOR THE REPORT TO PROVIDE THE RESPECTIVE FUNDS TO WHICH THE CASH BELONGS.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Section 11-5-120 of the 1976 Code is amended to read:
"Section 11-5-120. The Treasurer shall publish, quarterly, by electronic means, in one daily paper in the city of Columbia a statement showing the amount of money on hand and in what banks it is deposited and the respective funds to which it belongs financial institutions the deposits are held."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
