VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
TO CONGRATULATE THE DORMAN HIGH SCHOOL CAVALIERS BOYS CROSS COUNTRY TEAM AND COACH BOBBY URBAN ON WINNING THE CLASS AAAA STATE CHAMPIONSHIP AND COMMEND THEM FOR THEIR HARD WORK AND DEDICATION.
Whereas, the members of the House of Representatives are proud to have the opportunity to recognize the members of the Dorman High School Cavaliers Boys Cross Country Team for winning the state championship; and
Whereas, the Dorman High School Boys Cross Country Team had an outstanding season with a record of three hundred eighteen wins against twelve losses; and
Whereas, the Cavaliers Boys Cross Country Team competed at several invitational meets including the Coaches' Classic Invitational, finishing first out of sixty-five teams; the Great American Cross Country Festival, finishing first out of fifty-two teams; and the Wendy's Invitational, finishing first out of eighty teams; and
Whereas, the Dorman High School Boys Cross Country Team won several championships this season including the Spartanburg County Championship, the Region II Class AAAA Championship, and the South Carolina Class AAAA State Championship; and
Whereas, the Cavaliers Boys Cross Country Team had some of its members selected to the All-State team including Nick Holt, Craig Thompson, Ryan Jank, and Matt Hogan; and
Whereas, the Dorman High School Boys Cross Country Team flourished under the direction of Coach Bobby Urban and his assistant Wendy Barr. The long hours of training and self-discipline required of these young men and their coaches resulted in a state championship win; and
Whereas, the members of the House of Representatives are proud to honor the Dorman High School Boys Cross Country Team on their outstanding season and capturing the state championship title. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the House of Representatives, by this resolution, congratulate the Dorman High School Cavaliers Boys Cross Country Team and Coach Bobby Urban on winning the Class AAAA State Championship and commend them for their hard work and dedication.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Dorman High School Cavaliers Boys Cross Country Team.
