A JOINT RESOLUTION TO PROVIDE THAT SCHOOL DAYS MISSED ON DECEMBER 5, 2002, AND JANUARY 23 AND 24, 2003, BY THE STUDENTS OF LAURENS COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 55 WHEN THE SCHOOLS WERE CLOSED DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE EXEMPTED FROM THE MAKE-UP REQUIREMENT OF THE DEFINED MINIMUM PLAN THAT FULL SCHOOL DAYS MISSED DUE TO EXTREME WEATHER OR OTHER CIRCUMSTANCES BE MADE UP.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Make-up days

SECTION    1.    School days missed on December 5, 2002, and January 23 and 24, 2003, by the students of Laurens County School District No. 55 when the schools were closed due to inclement weather conditions are exempted from the make-up requirement of the defined minimum plan that full school days missed due to extreme weather or other circumstances be made up.

Time effective

SECTION    2.    This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.

Ratified the 6th day of March, 2003.
