A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO CONGRATULATE BOY SCOUT ERIC RYAN KYLE OF AIKEN ON RECEIVING THE PRESTIGIOUS EAGLE SCOUT BADGE, COMMEND HIM FOR HIS HARD WORK, PERSEVERANCE, AND MANY ACHIEVEMENTS WHILE EARNING THE HIGHEST AWARD IN SCOUTING, AND WISH HIM EVERY SUCCESS IN ALL OF HIS FUTURE ENDEAVORS.

Whereas, Boy Scout Eric Ryan Kyle began his scouting career as a Cub Scout and continued as a member of Boy Scout Troop 146 at South Aiken Presbyterian Church for more than seven years. Progressing through the ranks of the Boy Scouts, he earned the prestigious and coveted Eagle Scout Badge, the highest award in scouting; and

Whereas, as an active member of Boy Scout Troop 146, Scout Eric Kyle attended troop meetings faithfully, participated in forty-five overnight camps and a canoeing trip on the Oconee River, attended summer camp at Lynwood Haynes, Barstow, and Daniel Boone, held the leadership position of quartermaster twice for his patrol and once for his troop, and performed or participated in numerous individual or troop service projects in the community; and

Whereas, Scout Eric Kyle has earned thirty-nine merit badges in his quest for the coveted Eagle Scout Badge, and restored a hillside on one side of a dam in Gem Lakes that had been badly eroded as his Eagle project. The son of Malcolm and Karen Kyle, Jr., Scout Eric Kyle is a source of pride to his troop, his parents, and to all who know and have had the pleasure of working and serving with him throughout his scouting career. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly, by this resolution, congratulate Eric Ryan Kyle of Aiken on receiving the prestigious Eagle Scout Badge, commend him for his hard work, perseverance, and many achievements while earning the highest award in scouting, and wish him every success in all of his future endeavors.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Eric Ryan Kyle of Aiken.
