AN ACT TO REAPPORTION THE ELECTION DISTRICTS FROM WHICH THE TRUSTEES OF THE UNION COUNTY BOARD OF TRUSTEES ARE ELECTED AND DESIGNATE A MAP NUMBER ON WHICH THESE ELECTION DISTRICTS ARE DELINEATED.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Union County Board of Trustees, election districts reapportioned

SECTION    1.    Notwithstanding any other provision of law, beginning with the election conducted in 2004, the nine defined single-member election districts from which each member of the Union County Board of Trustees must reside in and be elected by the qualified electors of that district are as shown on the official map designated as S-87-00-03 prepared by and on file with the Office of Research and Statistical Services of the State Budget and Control Board.

Time effective

SECTION    2.    This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.

Ratified the 8th day of May, 2003.

Became law without the signature of the Governor -- 5/15/03.
