A BILL

TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 25-11-45 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT THE TRAINING OFFICER FOR THE SOUTH CAROLINA DIVISION OF VETERAN'S AFFAIRS SHALL TRAIN AND GET ACCREDITED COUNTY PERSONNEL WITHIN THREE WEEKS OF THE TIME OF APPOINTMENT, AND THE STATE DIRECTOR SHALL SUBMIT REQUESTS FOR ACCREDITATION WITHIN THREE WORKING DAYS.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    Chapter 11, Title 25 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"Section 25-11-45.    The training officer for the South Carolina Division of Veteran's Affairs shall train and get accredited county personnel within three weeks of the time of appointment. The state director shall submit requests for accreditation within three working days."

SECTION    2.    This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
