A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO COMMEND TED PARR AND EVERETTE MATTHEWS FOR THEIR PERSONAL COMMITMENT TO PUBLIC SERVICE AND THE MANY CONTRIBUTIONS THEY HAVE MADE TO THEIR COMMUNITY AND STATE AS PRESIDENT AND VICE PRESIDENT OF METAL BUILDERS, INCORPORATED IN SPARTANBURG.

Whereas, Metal Builders, Inc. was founded in Spartanburg in 1977 by Ted Parr, who serves as president of the company, and Everette Matthews, who serves as vice president; and

Whereas, Metal Builders, Inc. has distinguished itself in South Carolina's Upstate as a construction company specializing in pre-engineered steel buildings; and

Whereas, under the leadership of these talented men, Metal Builders, Inc. has designed and built industrial and commercial buildings, warehouses, churches, and storage buildings; and

Whereas, Mr. Parr and Mr. Matthews are highly respected business and civic leaders in the Spartanburg community because of the quality of their craftsmanship and the integrity with which they conduct all business dealings; and

Whereas, the members of the General Assembly would like to publicly recognize and thank Ted Parr and Everette Matthews for their many contributions to Spartanburg and South Carolina as respected businessmen and community leaders. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the South Carolina General Assembly, by this resolution, commend Ted Parr and Everette Matthews for their personal commitment to public service and the many contributions they have made to their community and State as president and vice president of Metal Builders, Incorporated in Spartanburg.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Ted Parr and Everette Matthews.
