TO PROVIDE THAT THE SCHOOL DAY MISSED ON FEBRUARY 27, 2004, BY THE STUDENTS OF A SCHOOL IN GREENWOOD COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 51 WHEN THE SCHOOL WAS CLOSED DUE TO SNOW, ICE, OR INCLEMENT WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE EXEMPTED FROM THE MAKE-UP REQUIREMENT THAT FULL SCHOOL DAYS MISSED DUE TO EXTREME WEATHER OR OTHER CIRCUMSTANCES BE MADE UP.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 59-1-430(B) of the 1976 Code, the school day missed on February 27, 2004, by the students of a school in Greenwood County School District No. 51 when the school was closed due to snow, ice, or inclement weather conditions are exempted from the make-up requirement that full school days missed due to extreme weather or other circumstances be made up.
SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
