AN ACT TO PROVIDE THAT FOR THE LEXINGTON COUNTY RESIDENT MEMBER OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF LEXINGTON-RICHLAND SCHOOL DISTRICT FIVE WHO TAKES OFFICE AFTER RECEIVING THE THIRD HIGHEST NUMBER OF VOTES IN THE GENERAL ELECTION OF 2004, FROM THOSE MEMBERS ELECTED FROM LEXINGTON COUNTY, THE TERM OF OFFICE IS FOR TWO YEARS AND UNTIL HIS SUCCESSOR ELECTED IN THE GENERAL ELECTION OF 2006 TAKES OFFICE.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
Term of member
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, for the Lexington County resident member of the board of trustees of Lexington-Richland School District Five who takes office after receiving the third highest number of votes in the general election of 2004, from those members elected from Lexington County, the term of office is for two years and until his successor elected in the general election of 2006 takes office.
Time effective
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
Ratified the 6th day of May, 2004.
Approved the 11th day of May, 2004.
