A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO REQUEST THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO NAME THE PORTION OF SOUTH CAROLINA HIGHWAY S-27-13 IN JASPER COUNTY FROM ITS INTERSECTION WITH U. S. HIGHWAY 17 TO ITS INTERSECTION WITH U. S. HIGHWAY 462 AS THE "MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR., PARKWAY", AND TO ERECT APPROPRIATE SIGNS OR MARKERS ALONG THIS PORTION OF HIGHWAY CONTAINING THE WORDS "MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR., PARKWAY".

Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina request the Department of Transportation to name the portion of South Carolina Highway S-27-13 in Jasper County from its intersection with U. S. Highway 17 to its intersection with U. S. Highway 462 as the "Martin Luther King, Jr., Parkway" and to erect appropriate signs or markers along this portion of highway containing the words "Martin Luther King, Jr., Parkway".

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Department of Transportation.
